1) Who we are
Nico’s Friendly Help (“we”, “us”). Email: info@nicosfriendlyhelp.com. Services provided primarily in the UK, remotely or in-person by arrangement.
2) What we do (service scope)
We provide practical support, encouragement and problem-solving guidance (“Services”). We are not a medical, mental-health, legal or financial service, and we do not provide therapy, medical advice, legal advice or financial advice. Any guidance is general support only and must not replace advice from a qualified professional in those areas.
3) How our agreement works
By booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not book or use our Services. For in-person bookings we may confirm additional details in writing; those apply alongside these Terms.
4) Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and tell us about any relevant risks or constraints.
- You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions.
- For tech work, ensure you have recent backups. We cannot be responsible for data you choose not to back up.
5) Reasonable care and skill
We will provide Services with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6) Results and limitations
We cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Many factors are outside our control (your implementation, third-party systems, device condition, internet, etc.). Advice is offered in good faith based on the information you provide.
7) Cancellations, rescheduling & refunds
- Cooling-off: For remote bookings made online, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start during that period, you agree you may lose the right to cancel for services already provided.
- A £10 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure an appointment. If the session goes ahead, this fee is credited against your first hour. If we cancel, it’s fully refundable.
- Rescheduling: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule where possible.
- Late cancellations / no-shows: We may charge up to the first hour for missed appointments without 24h notice (waived at our discretion for emergencies).
- Money-back promise (if applicable): If we cannot offer a practical next-step plan in a problem-solving session, we’ll refund the session fee. This does not apply where work has been completed or third-party costs were incurred with your approval.
8) Fees & payment
Current rates are displayed on our website. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due at booking or on completion. For in-person visits we may add reasonable travel costs by prior agreement.
9) Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for: (a) indirect or consequential loss; (b) loss of profits, business, or data; (c) outcomes resulting from your decisions or third-party actions; (d) issues arising from pre-existing faults or unsupported devices/software. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant session.
10) Tech work & data
You are responsible for backing up devices before work. We take reasonable care, but cannot accept responsibility for data loss on devices without prior backups. If we install software or updates at your request, you are responsible for any licence costs and terms.
11) Confidentiality
We keep your information confidential and only share it where required by law or with your consent. See our Privacy Notice for details.
12) Fair use
We may decline requests that are unsafe, unlawful, or outside our competence (e.g., regulated advice, unsafe electrical work).
13) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
